Expiry Alert Pro ("we", "our", or "us"), created by Rahul Lagariya, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, process, store, and safeguard your personal information and product inventory logs when you download and use the Expiry Alert Pro mobile application (the "App").

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms outlined here, please do not access or use the App.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in several ways depending on how you configure the App (Free vs. Premium tiers):

• Account Registration Details: When you register an account, we collect your Email Address and Password. If you log in via Google Sign-In, we receive your Google ID, email address, and profile name.
• Product Inventory Data: We store details you enter for your products, including product names, brands, categories, prices, quantities, notes, expiry dates, and supplier details.
• Image & Camera Data: Camera access is requested exclusively to scan barcodes locally or capture labels. Images processed via Google ML Kit remain completely on-device. Images sent for Gemini AI identification are transmitted over encrypted connections to Google cloud APIs.
• Automatically Logged Data: Device model, OS version, app performance logs, crash diagnostics, and advertising identifiers (AdMob Mobile Ads IDs) for free tier users.
• Payment Identifiers: Subscriptions are managed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not store or process your credit cards or payment credentials directly. We only receive purchase verification tokens.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to support our core features and maintain app stability:

• Core Functionality: To create and manage your profile, calculate product expiration risk levels, trigger alarm services, and group items by shop location.
• Cloud Synchronization: To back up Premium users' inventories to Firebase Firestore, enabling multi-device restoration.
• Service Enhancements: To debug application crashes, monitor latency metrics, and refine the Gemini AI text-recognition models.
• Monetization: To display banner or interstitial ads powered by AdMob (Free tier users only) and verify premium monthly subscription access.

4. Third-Party Integrations

The App integrates with several third-party service providers that process data under their own respective privacy policies:

• Google Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Crashlytics, Analytics): Used for secure user logins, cloud database backups, and stability reporting. Privacy Policy: Google Firebase Privacy Page.
• Google ML Kit: On-device API used for barcode parsing and OCR. ML Kit processes image files locally on your phone and does not transmit them.
• Google Gemini AI (gemini-2.0-flash): Cloud AI lookup that receives barcode strings or captured product images to auto-fill inventory forms.

5. Data Storage and Security

We employ commercial-grade security systems to protect user information:

• Local Device Encrypting: Your local database is cached on-device in a secure SQLite Room database using standard Android sandbox isolation.
• In-Transit Encryption: All cloud transmissions (Firebase sync, Gemini lookups, Billing checks) occur exclusively over HTTPS/TLS protocols.
• Cloud Storage Security: Premium user data is hosted on Google Cloud servers. We isolate Firestore collections strictly so users can only read or write their own documents at `/users/{uid}/`.

6. Your Data Rights

You have full ownership of the data you enter into Expiry Alert Pro:

• Access & Modify: You can view, search, and update any logged product details inside the app at any time.
• Export Logs: Premium users can export their inventories to PDF or CSV spreadsheet formats.
• Account & Data Deletion: You can delete your account by going to Settings > Account > Delete Account in the app. This permanently wipes your local database and deletes your profile and inventory from Firebase Auth and Firestore cloud collections within 30 days.
• Manual Request: You can request data deletion by contacting us at expiryalertpro@gmail.com.

7. Children's Privacy

Expiry Alert Pro does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The application is targeted toward general consumers who manage households or inventories. If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your child has submitted details (like an email address) to us, contact us immediately at expiryalertpro@gmail.com, and we will delete the information from our servers.

8. Regional Compliance (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on your location, you enjoy specific statutory rights:

• GDPR (European Union): The legal basis for processing your data is user consent (account sign-up) and contract execution (delivering Premium services). You have the right to portability, rectification, object to processing, or withdraw consent.
• CCPA (California): We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. California residents can request disclosure of collected categories or demand deletion under CCPA rules.
